The Cloverlane Foundation once again participated in this year’s Santa Maria Elks Veterans Mini Stand Down. It was held at the Elks Lodge #1538 on Thursday, July 18, 2024. The foundation has given away free clothing to veterans for almost two years. The Elks event offers veterans assistance with benefits, resources, education, therapy service, clothing, and employment. Over a dozen veteran organizations were there to ensure our veterans and their families get the help they need and deserve. In total there were 131 in attendance with 88 veterans representing different branches of service. Cloverlane gave away over 300 pairs of socks and 69 pairs of boxer briefs to veterans. The Santa Maria Elks Veterans Committee helped distribute these items. Additionally, the Veterans Committee bought emergency hand crank and solar powered radios which were given to our veterans. Please thank our veterans and our brothers and sisters in the military for their service.
