The Cloverlane Foundation again participated in this year’s Santa Maria Elks Veterans Mini Stand Down held at Lodge #1538 on Thursday, April 18, 2024.  This was the seventh time in 2023 and 2024 that Cloverlane has been offering free clothing. The Elks event offers veterans assistance with housing, benefits, resources, education, therapy service, clothing, and employment. Over a dozen veteran organizations were there to ensure our veterans and their families get the help they need and deserve. In total there were over 90 in attendance with 80 veterans representing different branches of service. The Santa Maria Elks Veterans Committee had several guest speakers talk about their organizations and how they help veterans. Cloverlane gave away 96 pairs of socks and 41 pairs of boxer briefs to veterans. The Santa Maria Elks Veterans Committee helped distribute these items.
