Saturday, November 4th, the Santa Barbara County Veterans Foundation held its third annual Salute to the Vets in Santa Ynez. There were 54 participants including the Cloverlane Foundation in the parade. Festivities started at 11am in front of the Maverick Saloon. Hundreds of spectators came out to see the parade. After the parade spectators were treated to a three-man paratroop jump team trailing a large American flag and red, white, and blue smoke. After this patriotic display all landed safely in the field across from the Maverick. The festivities continued at the Maverick with food, fun and music. There were over a dozen veteran organizations, including the Cloverlane Foundation, providing information to veterans and their families. We all know we wouldn’t be where we are if it wasn’t for those who put their lives on the line to keep America free. Please thank our veterans and our brothers and sisters in the military for their service.
